About Sheila Allee
A speechwriter for almost 20 years, Sheila Allee has produced speeches for a wide variety of speakers, including the Texas governor, the president of the American Medical Association, and executives of a number of Fortune 500 companies.
She is a graduate of Texas Tech University, where she has also done graduate work in Mass Communications. Sheila spent 12 years as a journalist, including a stint with United Press International, where she covered the Karen Silkwood trial in Oklahoma City
She also worked for The Associated Press in Columbia, S.C., where she covered the state capital and politics, and in San Antonio, where she covered news, NBA basketball and professional golf tournaments.
Sheila’s background also includes extensive experience writing for and editing magazines. She has written for Reader’s Digest, Business Week, Texas Business, Southwest Airlines In-flight magazine, Reuters and USA Today. In addition, she has written online content for Amazon.com and Express Digital. Her book, Texas Mutiny, a Texas crime novel is now in its third printing.
An award-winning speechwriter, Sheila has written speeches for the Commissioners of Education and Health in Texas. Her client list includes Disney, EDS, Anadarko Petroleum, Cessna Aircraft, BellSouth, and New York Life.
She has also written Seven Steps to the Podium, A Handbook for Speakers and Speechwriters .
